Wouldn't it be great to fly to a golf resort and not have to schlep your bag? Several companies offer door-to-door club-shipping services, so we decided to test them. Our favorite was Golf Bag Shipping (golfbagshipping.com; 866-744-7427). This California-based firm charges $118 to haul your clubs to your destination and back (or $64 one way). Its website is a breeze to use, and unlike some of its competitors, Golf Bag Shipping gives you a price quote when you type in your starting and ending zip codes online. Most of the time, the delivery is handled by FedEx. Why not just call FedEx directly? You could, but it would be more expensive that way. Golf Bag shipping gets a volume discount.
